Is there a King's Field 5?

The line stops at four

No King's Field 5 was released, announced in the sources I checked, or listed on FromSoftware's product history as a fifth main game. The Japanese series article counts four main games, Additional I and II, and Sword of Moonlight. The Ancient City in 2001 is the last main disc. Additional I and II in 2006 are PSP chapters, not a numbered five.

A community joke says Dark Souls II is King's Field 5. I am not printing that as history. It has no company statement behind it. Demon's Souls is the spiritual successor the company did name, and it is still not a fifth King's Field. If a box or a ROM site says King's Field 5, it is mislabeling one of the games already on the play order.

The place to watch for an actual new announcement is the status page, dated when I last read the company's silence.
