King's Field patches

Need a patch, or already in English

The 1994 Japanese disc, serial SLPS-00017, needs the English patch version 1.0 dated 12 December 2006 if you want English. The US releases of the 1995 and 1996 games, and The Ancient City, shipped with English. Do not patch those images with the 1994 file.

Additional I and II have no English script in the sources checked on 7 Nov 2026. The feature-phone game preserved in 2025 is a separate case and is described on the Android page, not as a PlayStation patch. Sword of Moonlight has community translation notes that I am not going to detail without a stable version string.

The only undub I can cite is The Ancient City's opening movie, version 1.0a on 13 June 2026. It is not a full Japanese voice track. Read English and undub before you touch a file.

Which game needs an English patch?

The 1994 Japanese disc, SLPS-00017. The US PlayStation games and The Ancient City do not.

Is there an undub for King's Field II?

I found a citable undub only for The Ancient City's opening movie, not for the PlayStation games.

Do you host the patches?

No. The pages link the archive records. You apply them to a disc you own.
