King's Field Additional I and II
JP: キングスフィールド アディショナル I / II · NA: Japan-only release · 2006 · PlayStation Portable. JP / US numbering
Two PSP chapters, five weeks apart
Additional I came out in Japan on 20 July 2006. Additional II followed on 24 August 2006. Both are PSP UMDs. Neither received a North American or European title, and I have not found a commercial English script for either. CERO rated them A. They sit outside the four main games and outside the feature-phone trilogy. Japanese coverage counts them inside the seven-work line, together with Sword of Moonlight.
The structure is the reason they feel unlike Melanat or Verdite. Additional I is built as stages rather than one continuous dungeon you can wander back through. Additional II can import the character and the equipment from the first. That import is the concrete link between the two discs. If you only own the second UMD, you still have a game, but you lose the carry-over the box advertised to people who bought both.
What I will not invent to fill the gap
Public English pages for these two are thin next to the PlayStation trilogy. I am not going to assign a protagonist biography, a final-boss name, or an hour count that I cannot point at. HowLongToBeat samples used elsewhere on this site do not include a matching Additional row in the research set I trusted. The honest status is: Japan-only, stage-based, second game imports the first, no English patch with a dated Romhacking entry in the sources checked on 7 Nov 2026.
On a PSP you play the UMD. People also name PPSSPP as the emulator they use for Japanese UMDs they already own. This page does not distribute images. If you wanted the PlayStation 2 ancient city, you are on the wrong disc; go to The Ancient City. If you wanted a translation status table for the whole series, that is the English patches. The PSP buying notes are on King's Field on PSP.
