Is King's Field on PC or Steam?
The store answer is no
There is no King's Field product on Steam and no official Windows build of the four main games. Searching the store for the name turns up other people's dungeon games. Lunacid (30 October 2023, $13.99, Windows) says outright that it looks toward King's Field and Shadow Tower. Monomyth is 3 October 2024 at $19.99. Queen's Domain is 30 October 2026 at $19.99, with a PlayStation 5 listing as well. Verho is 10 November 2025 at $19.99. Prices move with sales. None of them is a FromSoftware port.
Sword of Moonlight is the official exception that is still not Steam. FromSoftware released that Windows tool in Japan in 2000, still offers the download, and included a remake of the first King's Field inside it. It is a creation tool with a Japanese interface, not a modern re-release of Melanat or The Ancient City.
Recompilations are not ports you buy
Verdite2 targets the US King's Field disc SLUS-00158. The record I read lists version 0.5.2 on 26 October 2026: widescreen, a corrected perspective, mouse and keyboard, twin sticks, and a reload after death. The author calls the project an AI-driven attempt that can be finished, with occasional problems, and it will not run without your dump. Verdite3 targets US King's Field II, serial SLUS-00255, version 0.2.0 on 18 October 2026, for Windows, Linux, and Steam Deck, with the same dump rule. A separate Unreal Engine demo, King's Field II Remade, shows the opening region of the US first game and is free on itch.io. It uses original assets, so I link the author's page and do not mirror files.
If your goal is the real campaign on a PC screen, the supported route remains DuckStation or PCSX2 plus a disc you own. The lookalike list is games like King's Field.
