King's Field on DuckStation
One emulator for three discs
DuckStation is a PlayStation emulator. The README documents a BIOS you supply yourself, upscaling, PGXP geometry correction, and gamepad support. There is an official Android build on Google Play. None of that text is a King's Field config file. The 1994, 1995, and 1996 games use the same emulator, then diverge in language and region.
The 1994 disc is SLPS-00017. DuckStation will boot a dump of it in Japanese. English comes from the 12 December 2006 patch, version 1.0, which applies only to that serial. The US King's Field (Japanese II, serial SLUS-00158) and the US King's Field II (Japanese III, serial SLUS-00255) already speak English. Do not run the 1994 patch against those US images.
Picture settings I will and will not promise
Upscaling and PGXP are general DuckStation features. I have no King's Field-specific official preset, so I will not invent internal resolution numbers or a PGXP toggle sequence and call it tested. What I will say: higher internal resolution makes the low-poly corridors easier to read and does not add the maps the 1995 game never had. The 1996 game's town screen is still the game's own screen.
Dump the disc you own. Dump a BIOS from a PlayStation you own. Then, if the disc is the 1994 one, read the English patch notes before you expect NPC dialogue in English. The Ancient City does not belong here; that disc is PlayStation 2 and belongs on PCSX2. Phone steps for these three games are on Android.

FAQ
Does DuckStation play The Ancient City?
No. The Ancient City is a PlayStation 2 game. DuckStation plays the three PlayStation King's Field discs.
Do I need a patch for the US games?
No. The US releases are already in English. The 2006 patch is for the Japanese 1994 disc only.
Is there an official King's Field profile?
No. Upscaling and PGXP are emulator features, not a FromSoftware preset.
