King's Field on Android

Android can run the 1994, 1995, and 1996 King's Field games because DuckStation has an official Google Play app. You still supply a BIOS and a disc dump. The 1994 image needs the English patch if you do not read Japanese. The two US PlayStation games do not. I am not going to quote frame rates. I do not have a measured Android session, and a number without a phone model would be fiction.

The Ancient City is the game people most want on a phone, and it is the one I will not recommend there. PCSX2's download page has no Android build. The project's issue tracker still treats Android as a request. AetherSX2, the PlayStation 2 emulator that used to fill that gap, had its development ended in 2023 according to XDA's report. An unmaintained emulator is a poor place to send someone who just wants Heladin.

The phone games are not this

King's Field Mobile, EX, and Mobile II were feature-phone titles in 2004 and 2005. A preservation write-up in 2025 describes a saved Mobile build and an English script for it. That is not DuckStation, and it is not an install from the Play Store under the King's Field name. If a page promises "King's Field APK", treat it as the wrong object.

Use DuckStation for the PlayStation trio and PCSX2 on a PC for The Ancient City. Additional I and II are PSP UMDs, a third emulator problem, described on the PSP page.
